
A family of slaves runaway in Eleuthera, the Bahamas. The ad appears in the Bahama Gazette April 1817.
Ranaway
From the Subscriber, the following Negroes, Viz. Jem, his wife, Jenny, and six Children. A reward of five dollars per head, will be paid to any person or persons apprehending the said negroes or lodging them in jail. All persons are forwarned harbouring the said slaves on pain of being prosecutor to the utmost rigor of the law.
